Erlend Øye - "Rainman"

Not entirely sure what he means when he sings "loving you is like waiting for the rain to come," but I'm going to work under the assumption this is about eager anticipation and not existential dread. I mean, this is Erlend Øye, right? Dude's a lover.

Bosq ft. Nicole Willis - "Bad For Me"

Here's a collaboration I didn't even know I wanted that just seems SO right now that I know it's on the horizon. Bosq is no stranger to Reductive Review readers, but Willis is a longtime love of mine that predates the blog (and maybe even blogs altogether as her album Soul Makeover dates back to 2000). If you're not hip to this soul vocalist, take a listen to this teaser from the new collabo and then seek out her back catalog - particularly her debut and 2006's Keep Reaching Up. Woman's got a voice.

Kat Edmonson - "Oh My Love"

Heaven, I'm in heaven And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak And I seem to find the happiness I seek When we're out together dancing cheek to cheek

Dawn Pemberton - "Deeper"

More goodness from Do Right! Music. It's truth in advertising from those folks as they always come correct - this time with a teaser from the forthcoming Say Somethin' LP from Vancouver soul-singer Dawn Pemberton. You'll have to wait til just before Halloween for the full-length though as it drops October 28th.
