Jordan Rakei - "Mind's Eye"

There are certain names I see in my inbox that are immediate click-to-listens. Jordan Rakei has been featured on RR three separate times before and I have a feeling there's more to come. He just dropped a brand new single via Ninja Tune and unsurprisingly it is GREAT.

There's a nice ebb and flow to this track but my enjoyment doesn't wane.

Apparently it debuted on BBC (yesterday? I can never tell with time-zones), but Rakei's latest neo-soul nugget is out today, May 10th.
 

Jordan Rakei - "Nerve"

The whole notion that you need to learn to love yourself before you can truly love another is something Rakei tackles in the lyrics on new single "Nerve" from his forthcoming Ninja Tune LP, Wallflower. "How can I find a reason to love you, when I don't love myself," is the simple, but not simplistic chorus to this wobbly tune. No surprise it's delivered with trademark Rakei-nan soul.
