White Denim - "NY Money"

I love it when a rock track has the room to stretch out and breathe. "NY Money" from the new White Denim album Side Effects does just that. Clocking in at nearly seven minutes, this one creates an atmosphere and while drummer Joshua Block's work is insistent and pushes forward, there's space for Austin Jenkins to just dance all over past the 4-minute mark.

Caribou - "Can't Do Without You"

Dan Snaith is the funkiest mathematician you'll ever meet. They should remake A Beautiful Mind about him and call it A Beautiful Sound.

CocoRosie - "Gravediggress"

Okay. I've come around on CocoRosie. I used to think they were willfully weird and annoying. Now I'm of the opinion they're willfully weird and awesome. "Gravediggress" promises good things for the next full-length, Tales of a Grass Widow, due in May on City Slang.
