Josef Salvat - "Every Night"

There is another song I can't think of the title for, and googling has been to no avail, but the opening notes of this new song feel like there should be an "mmm shbop shbop" group vocal in the background a la that old ditty. "Every Night" has a timeless feel and I can't wait to hear more.

Submotion Orchestra - "1968"

Not sure of the significance of the year 1968 for the folks in Submotion Orchestra, but I know it for the student riots of that year and the effect they had on future university architecture both here at the University of Manitoba and at University College Dublin where I previously studied. Those wide, low-slung concrete steps? Kinda awkward for the human gait, but perfect for tanks. Regardless of its providence, this song is quite nice.

Canis Major - "Free Beat - Logic Type"

I just discovered this cat last night thanks to a tip-off from Dan Fernandes of Sick Notes Radio when we were talking fresh producers out there. Was boppin' my head to his Beats x Beats album right from the top and immediately gave him a "Like" on Facebook. Then tonight I'm scrolling through my feed to discover he's dropped another ill beat. Get on this kid now before he hits the stratosphere because this is next level.

Bird - "The Whole World Knows"

It's PLEDGE-O-RAMA time at UMFM (I encourage you to donate to help support the station I work at if you dig the music I post here - a lot of it passes across my desk at the station at which point I share it here) and I've been putting in some late nights manning the phones. I've been digging La Notte, the full-length by bird since the summer, but driving home at 3am each night, "The Whole World Knows" has become my low-key anthem. "No one can fuck with us now."
